Price is for the boat and the share in company rights to mooring.
The location is to die for! The boat's mooring is on the Kingston side of the river Thames, seconds away from Kingston’s Old Market Square, Rose Theatre, shops, restaurants, schools, cinema and sporting activities that this vibrant city has to offer. The views from the boat are fantastic with unobstructed views of Kingston Bridge in one direction, and Home park on the opposite banks. The surrounding area offers beautiful walks and bicycle rides, as well as boat trips. Everything you could possibly want is right on your door step.
The Boat:
Wild Raven is a superbly built boat of immense character and history. It is an Inchcape Yacht, built by Buckie, Eyemouth Scotland in 1969– only about 100 such vessels were built. It was designed with permanent living in mind, and so the layout of the living accommodation is exceptionally good, with full standing height on upper and lower deck.
Length 43 feet 4 inches - Beam 14 feet 5 inches, depth 6 foot 1 inch, draft 5 foot; engine: Perkins one screw petrol Twin Perkins 6 cylinder 115 BHP Petrol Inboard Engine.
The construction of INCHCAPE yachts is immensely strong (Iroko planking on massive home grown oak frames). Iroko hull sheathed in fiberglass. Brightwork is kept to the minimum for ease of maintenance and the deck is covered with hard-wearing Cascover nylon sheathing.
At the time of purchase 7 years ago we carried out £100,000 worth of work with full anti fouling, repairs to hull with re-fibreglassing. In the last 6 months the boat has been fully redecorated, with new windows inserted in the lower deck, new flooring on the upper deck, all woodwork inside and outside has been repaired and newly painted with Farrow and Ball paint!
Should you wish to sail, the engine could be brought into commission condition, anchor etc intact and a large spacious engine room. Navigation equipment would need modernising.
MOORING: The mooring is a rare amenity, in an incredible location. It comes with a share in the company which owns the rights to the mooring. There is permanent dedicated access to 240v mains electricity and water. And your own pump out facility. Water is included in the maintenance fee. The sale would include the transfer of the relevant share in the company to the new owner.

The boat is in excellent condition structurally, and the interior is in good repair having been recently painted inside, and could be moved into immediately but needs updating. The kitchen and bathroom would benefit from refitting.
The entire interior is mahogany wood panelled throughout and the floors and ceilings are of solid oak.
The upper deck (wheel house) is set in a spacious full height cabin with windows on all sides, and a 3-piece windshield providing a huge amount of light and open feel upon entry. It has been used as an office and art studio but would make a beautiful additional reception area. There is a new laminate floor.
There is a built-in side seating area (or additional single bed) with ample storage. The helm, with its original solid wood wheel is housed in a mahogany unit with brass switches for bilge pumps, heating etc to one side. Navigation equipment needs renewing if the boat is to be sailed. The original carved ‘wild raven’ is currently sited along the dashboard, but could be restored and re-sited on the bow of the boat outside.
Entrance to the lower deck is via wooden steps. Due to the depth of the keel and ample beam, the lower deck is full standing height (2m). It is bright and airy with a large openable skylight and small high level windows on all sides. The interior is fully panelled in mahogany and the open-plan galley and saloon have custom built mahogany cupboards; the saloon has built in seating for 6-8 people on both sides with ample storage underneath the seats; one of the side seats may be used as an additional single bed. The kitchen area is fitted with a stainless steel sink, and comes with a ceramic hob, a small fridge with icebox, and a halogen cooker. The galley has an additional large cupboard with shelves and space and plumbing for a washing machine. The galley has a half-height serving sideboard adjacent to the dining space. This sideboard partly shuts off the galley from the saloon, yet allows the sense of space to remain unimpaired.
To the bow is the main cabin, entered from the saloon via a louvred mahogany door. The sleeping area can be completely closed off from the saloon, producing a private cabin. Currently the cabin has two single beds which could be converted into a double with storage spaces beneath and a cupboard housing the anchor at the top of the bow. There is a full height hanging cupboard, with a small ensuite bathroom with shower, manual toilet and ceramic sink. The toilet needs a repair to the handle and the shower base/sides could benefit from updating. There is an electric shower pump for removing waste water.
Length 13 metres ( 39 feet 4 inches ) - Beam 4 metres ( 13 feet 1 inch). Superb construction, immensely strong (Iroko planking on massive home grown oak frames). Iroko hull sheathed in fiberglass. Brightwork is kept to the minimum for ease of maintenance and the deck is recently fibreglassed.
The upper decks are very spacious, with good width on the sides, protected by substantial bulwarks. Outside there is a full walk-around deck with beautiful views of the river and the parkland across the water. The spacious outside area can be used as an additional outdoor living space in fine weather.
Huge skylights with new safety glass allow masses of light into the lower deck.
Boiler for hot water, 3 bilge pumps (all new), 2 in engine room with automatic float switches, one in saloon; automatic shower pump; carbon monoxide detector; 3 fire extiguishers; halogen cooker; induction hob; space for two small fridge-freezers; large cupboard in galley with shelves and space for washing machine
Original navigation equipment is still in place, but would require complete review if sailing were to be considered.
The spacious engine room is accessed from the wheel house via a glass hatch door and ladder. Beautiful Perkins engine works well, with huge fuel tanks. Twin Perkins 6354 six cylinder marine engines; large hot water boiler powered by 240v Mains, recently serviced. Bilges with new pumps. Loads of storage space
Anchor is a black Danforth. Works which would be required include: repair of rudder shaft; re-attachment of anchor to the chain (currently stored in the bow end cupboard in main cabin) - there is an electronic anchor retraction device; two brackets (on the boat) for supporting the tabernacle need to be fitted; navigation equipment would need to be serviced.
