Cheers is a stunning 60’ reverse layout cruiser stern narrowboat with an enclosed well deck, built in 2014 by Blue Water Boats. She benefits from 2pk epoxy blacking in February 2022, and a full survey from November 2021 is available for viewing in the office.
The cruiser stern deck is large at almost 8’, with semi-cruiser style benches either side, and another bench at the aft. Housed below is the Misubishi 42hp engine, marinised by Vetus, with a PRM150 gearbox.
Steps lead down into the 13’ galley. No expense has been spared here, with granite worktops and oak cupboards, 240v Blomberg fridge, separate 240v freezer, Belling oven & grill, Neff 4 burner gas hob, Neff microwave, Hoover 8kg washing machine, and plenty of cupboards, shelves and drawers for all your storage needs!
A pullman dinette follows, with a beautifully inlaid wood table, and storage under. This converts to a spare double if needed. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
Next is the 10’ 6” saloon, with an L-shaped fixed sofa style bench (needs new corner cushion), a 240v Sharp 40” 4K tv, and more shelves and cupboards.
The 6’1” bathroom features a large rectangular shower enclosure, Simploo composting toilet, and a ceramic wash basin over a granite cupboard cupboard. The plumbing, electrics and tank are still installed from the previous pumpout system, so if you wanted to swap back this would be relatively easy.
Following, the 11’1” bedroom occupies the forward cabin, making excellent use of the enclosed well deck. There is a fixed 6’2” x 4’6” double berth with storage either side, and under, as well as shelves, drawers and a decent sized wardrobe.
Access to the bowthruster compartment is from under the bed, with a Vetus 75kgf bowthruster to help aid navigation (needs repair).
She is centrally heated by a Webasto Thermo Top C diesel heater connected to 4 radiators and a towel rail. Low wattage bar heaters keep the wardrobe and under the bed toasty. Hot water is via the engine, Webasto or an immersion.
12v power is via 2x 260ah lead acid domestics and 2x 105ah LifePO4 lithium domestics, with a separate starter and 2 bowthruster batteries. 240v power is via a Vetus 3kva combi inverter/charger, Vetus 4kw generator, or landline.
There are 600w of solar, housed over roof boxes in the style of a viking longboat, giving the boat an impressive image.
Lighting on board is LED throughout, including under gunwhale lighting throughout.
With a vessel this impressive, whilst cruising along the canal people are sure to know your name!
